Back to the regular format. Mark returns to join Seth in talking the Patrick Troughton classic, Tomb Of The Cybermen. Arguably one of the greatest stories of the early years, Tomb Of The Cybermen was a favorite for years… Without hardly anyone actually seeing it thanks to it being erased by The BBC. Thankfully, a print did show up in the early 90s, and the episodes survived. Hear what it was like learning about a long lost classic Doctor Who story being recovered, and why this story should go down as an all time great story.
Formats are made to be broken. This week’s Examining The Doctor is not the usual episode commentary, but a solo show by Seth examining the news of an animated adaption of The Power Of The Daleks commisioned by The BBC. On top of that, legendary actor David Suchet has been announced as appearing in Season 10. The 1996 Doctor Who TV movie is getting a proper Blu-Ray release. And to top it off, a multi-Doctor story is happening in the comics with Supremacy Of The Cybermen.
It’s a light news week, so Seth and Train talk two lesser known superheroes that still have a long history behind them. Plus there’s leaked Deathstroke footage from an upcoming DC movie, and Mark Hamill dropping hints about the future of Luke Skywalker. In addition, Geekvile pays tribute to the late great actor and filmmaker Gene Wilder.
