Today’s edition of Nostalgia Trip is an encore presentation of a 2020 segment from our horror-themed podcast Examining The Dead. Dan “The Dragon” Wilson of Seeking Human Victims podcast joins Seth and Crazy Train to talk Christmas-themed horror films. The genre might be bigger than you think.
13 is considered by some to be an unlucky, if not evil, number. That’s why we chose Day 13 of National Podcast Post Month to present the very true and grisly story of The West Memphis Three.
It’s a HUGE episode for news and reviews in this edition of Examining The Dead. A ton of news, a major Gruesome Twosome, and a fascinating Into The Crystal Ball talking Character Alignments.
WARNING: This is the only Mature Themed podcast we do here at Geekville Radio.
It’s October, which means for many fellow geeks it’s Halloween Season! We love Halloween here at Geekville Radio and have a slew of special shows and programming in store for you in the coming weeks.
COVID-19 has thrown Hollywood for a loop and the Horror genre is no different. “Crazy Train” Jonathan Bolick and Seth “Zandrax” Zillman discuss the delays in The Coroner’s Report. Then, in the Gruesome Twosome is a review of two classic B-Movies centered around evil cars: 1977’s The Car and 1987’s Maximum Overdrive. Finally, The Reverend Dan Wilson joins to talk The Chattanooga Film Festival.
This is a special episode of Examining The Dead devoted to the list of 31 Horror Movie trailers for Halloween. Crazy Train excluded any major hits such as Friday The 13th or Nightmare On Elm St. and focused on some of the lesser-known gems.
First up, 2011’s The Rite starring Anthony Hopkins and Colin O’Donoghue. It is inspired by a true story involving exorcism.
Also, the 2018 Halloween reboot, now available on home video.
Into The Crystal Ball (1:10:43)
Godzilla: King Of The Monsters is currently in theaters. Train, Greg, and Seth all give their recommended Godzilla movies if you need a prep for the new film. In a previous episode of Geekville Radio, Seth and Greg summarized every Godzilla movie made through Final Wars.
