Daredevil premiered on Netflix ten years ago (!?!?!). It inspired four spinoff series, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders before getting canceled in 2018. Now, a decade later, the gritty street-level superhero series returns to streaming, this time on Disney+
As expected, we don’t know much about the plot other than the story clearly takes place several years after the original series. It’s encouraging to see the same actors back in their respective roles.
Other characters appearing in the trailer are The Punisher and Bullseye, again played by Jon Bernthal and Wilson Bethel respectively. We also see White Tiger donning his mask, although we do not know who the character is underneath. Margarita Levieva’s role has yet to be officially confirmed, though many theorize she may portray one of the female incarnations. Dario Scardapane is the showrunner with most episodes directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who previously directed several episodes of Moon Knight and Loki.
