The DuckTales Trailer Gives You The First Scenes Of David Tennant As Scrooge McDuck

David Tennant became an international hero when he stepped into The TARDIS as The Tenth Doctor. Since then he’s done a Fright Night reboot, Broadchurch, and of course Killgrave/Purple Man in the acclaimed Netflix Daredevil series.

When it was announced that Tennant will take over the role of Scrooge McDuck in a DuckTales reboot, the internet poofed.

Well, now we have our first look at David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck. One thing’s for certain, unlike the great Alan Young, Tennant doesn’t have to fake the Scottish accent.

Ben Affleck’s Batman movie has found its director, and there are now talks of a Nightwing movie. Seth and Crazy Train discuss casting ideas for the former Boy Wonder. In the main segments, Train and Seth discuss what superheroes (and a few villains) might make up a US Government. Don’t worry, no politics are discussed. In the final segment Seth and Train discuss the life and career of actor Bill Paxton.

In 1979, Parker Brothers were trying to market a new sci-fi action figure. Rom The Space Knight was a large figure by today’s standards, standing in at a whopping 13 inches. Even by 1979 standards it was big. Most Mego figures stood at 8 inches, and the average Barbie was 12 inches.

Examining The Doctor: An Unearthly Child

This week, Geekville Radio’s Examining The Doctor goes all the way back to the beginning, and looks at the very first episode of Doctor Who. Join Mark and Seth as they provide commentary for An Unearthly Child, first broadcast on November 23, 1963. This is the episode that started it all, and introduced us to The Doctor and The TARDIS.

Unlike most episodes of Examining The Doctor, this show will only look at An Unearthly Child itself, and not the remaining three episodes in the story arc. And to be specific this is the regular episode as broadcast, and not the unaired pilot.

More rumors coming out about the Batman, with the latest being that Ben Affleck may bow out of the role. Collider reports in the video below about the rumor, stating he’s heard from multiple sources that Affleck’s time as The Dark Knight may already be over.
