The full pilot episode for the sci-fi series Space Command was posted on YouTube last week. The series, which is created and directed by veteran sci-fi TV writer Marc Scott Zicree, features a cast from several past sci-fi series such as Star Trek and Babylon 5.
Space Command first began development in 2012 with a Kickstarter campaign. Portions of the first episode have been released over the last few years.
According to Zicree, the season will consist of ten episodes and will air on his YouTube channel. The pilot episode alone has over 900 digital effects shots. By comparison, 1996’s Independence Day had approximately 500.
You can watch the episode below and subscribe to Zicree’s channel if you like what you see. The series also has a Patreon page to help fund future episodes.
