We finally got a glimpse of DC’s 2022 Flash feature film. As expected, we got teases for Michael Keaton’s return as Bruce Wayne/Batman after 30 years.
Ezra Miller introduced the footage by explaining that they are still making the film and don’t have much in the way of finished footage. What was shown certainly met expectations that the film will be an adaption of the 2011 Flashpoint storyline in which Barry Allen goes back in time to prevent his mother’s murder.
We also caught glimpses of Miller playing an alternate version of Barry Allen standing alongside the “main” Barry as well as Supergirl (Sasha Calle) seemingly talking to the 1989 movie incarnation of Batman.
The biggest tease was left in the final seconds when Barry pulls a sheet off of a car. While not explicitly shown, the shape of the car looks very much like the iconic 1989 Batmobile from the two Keaton films.
The Flash opens November 4th, 2022 and stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton as alternate versions of Bruce Wayne/Batman, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.
