It’s the LAST DAY of NaPodPoMo. And to close out the month we just throw a bunch of stuff against the wall. We start off with the longrunning favorite: Chuck Norris Jokes
Day 27 of National Podcast Post Month brings us another inductee into the Lesser Known Geek Hall Of Fame. Join Seth and Train as they talk about another character that can be considered one of the very first superheroes.
Two legends in their respective fields passed away five years ago this week in the form of Stan Lee and Roy Clark. Stan Lee was of course the major force behind Marvel Comics for decades and created some of the most popular superheroes of all time. Roy Clark was a legendary country musician perhaps best known as one of the regulars of the musical comedy series Hee Haw.
Yes, you read that correctly. Chuck Norris is 80 years old. He was born Carlos Ray Norris on March 10, 1940. And believe it or not, his mother is still alive and well.
We here at Geekville Radio have searched the internet for 80 Chuck Norris Facts to celebrate the man’s 80th birthday. We will then do a movie marathon of Delta Force, Lone Wolf McQuade, Code Of Silence, Walker Texas Ranger, and the Karate Kommandos animated series.
If there was an Internet Meme Awards, this would certainly earn a nomination. Every line of Queen’s epic classic Bohemian Rhapsody has been adapted into a popular meme pic. Enjoy!
We’re dusting off the cobwebs for 2018 in the Geekville Radio studios with a JAM PACKED show with a ton of content. Join Seth and Crazy Train as they talk news, preview a TON of movies, and review Black Panther.
THIS WEEK IN GEEK NEWS
A small little indie film called Black Panther opened last weekend to record numbers. Now in it’s second week it still managed to land a $100 million dollar weekend, which is HIGHLY impressive. The film is now tapped to score $400 million dometically according to Box Office Mojo.
On the Star Wars front, rumors have surfaced as to the reason for Colin Trevorrow’s exit from Episode IX. Allegedly Trevorrow’s plans heavily involved Luke Skywalker.
The final segment of the show is devoted to a thorough (that means SPOILERS) review of Marvel’s latest blockbuster Black Panther. Everything from the acting to the accuracy to the comics are discussed. Does the movie live up to the hype? A must listen for Black Panther fans looking to fiind out more about the character.
All this and more in another fun-filled Geekville Radio.
Lemmy, David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Glenn Frey, and more are honored in this week’s show. So many talented musicians and actors have lest us over the past few weeks, and Crazy Train and Will stop by The Geekville Studios to pay their respects. This is a very different but very eclectic show, and something to like if you’re a fan of any of these artists.
