The Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 8 “Bad Territory” Review

We’re in the latter half of The Bad Batch’s final season and the band is (mostly) back together. What awaits our heroes when they dip back into the underworld?

SPOILER WARNING! The following contains spoilers for The Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 8! Do not proceed if you wish to avoid spoilers!

MAJOR POINTS

  • Hunter and Wrecker teamed with Fennic Shand in exchange for information on M-Count
  • Omega is trying to help with Crosshair’s shooting hand
  • Shand may have betrayed the heroes

Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair comfort Omega, who doesn’t like staying on the sidelines. They get a message from Phee telling them that top bounty hunters have been bringing M-Count targets to the Empire. Omega suggests they talk to Fennec Shand, since she was the one who abducted her in the first place. Hunter and Wrecker set off to find Shand while Omega tries to help Crosshair’s twitchy shooting hand

We get the obligatory cantina scene where Hunter and Wrecker meet with Shand. She offers to get the information if they catch Sylar Saris, who she is after for a bounty. Soon they find themselves on a swamp planet chased by stargators and dodging mines. They eventually find and catch Saris. However, the last scene implies that she betrayed the clones as she talks to an unknown person over the comm.

MAJOR QUESTIONS

  • Who was Fennic Shand talking to? Another Bounty Hunter?
  • If the meditation works for Crosshair, would that make him Force Sensitive?
  • Will we see that Rodian again?

FINAL GRADE: C+

This episode felt like a side quest in some RPGs where it does flesh out details but isn’t necessary to understand the grand story.
