Latest Avengers Endgame Trailer Brings A Case Of Supergoosebumps

Marvel unleashed the latest, and probably final, trailer for Avengers: Endgame. Several classic moments from all the characters’ past are recapped. Including Steve Rogers carrying Peggy Carter’s casket, Tony Stark falling for Pepper, and Clint Barton training his daughter archery. It’s a very emotional recap of the last decade in Marvel movies.

That of course brings us to the imminent final battle with Thanos. And new costumes…

The latest Avengers trailer really brings The Feels

Avengers: Endgame opens on April 26th and will wrap up Phase Three in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

For 35 years, fans have enjoyed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adventures in various incarnations. In 2015, the heroes in a half shell crossed paths with The Dark Knight himself, Batman, in a limited series by DC Comics and IDW.

Now that story has been adapted for an animated release entitled Batman vs. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which hits shelves at the end of the month. Check out the trailer below.

Batman meets the TMNT

While the art in the comic book version seems to pay homage to the original Eastman & Laird artwork, the movie looks more like the Batman: Brave And The Bold format. The cast consists of Troy Baker taking on the roles of both Batman and The Joker (a first for the same release), Tara Strong as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, John DiMaggio (Futurama) as Mr. Freeze, Darren Criss (Glee) as Raphael, Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live) as Michelangelo, and Tom Kenny (SpongeBob Squarepants) as The Penguin.

Daredevil Season 3 Trailer

There’s a new man Without Fear in town! At long last, Netflix has released a full trailer for the much anticipated third season of Daredevil.

When we last saw Matt Murdock, he was believed to have died with Elektra in the climactic finish of The Defenders. However, he was shown to be very much alive and in hiding in the final scene.

This season sees the main antagonist role return to Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio. Matt again dons the homemade black costume, and continues his vigilante ways. Why he has not reached out to his friends Foggy and Karen will probably have to wait until the season drops on October 19th.

As to who this imposter Daredevil is, Netflix may have spilled the beans. Actor Wilson Bethel has been confirmed to play Benjamin Poindexter, aka Bullseye. Smart money would seem to point to Bullseye making his Netflix debut impersonating The Man Without Fear.  Colin Farrell had previously played Bullseye in the 2003 feature film that starred current Batman Ben Affleck in the title role.

What did you think of the trailer? Are you excited to see another take on Daredevil vs. Bullseye?

Long Lost Empire Strikes Back Documentary Surfaces

In 1979, French filmmaker Michael Parbot made a documentary about the making of The Empire Strikes Back. Then, of course, only known as the sequel to Star Wars.

For over three decades, this documentary was thought lost. It had aired only once in December of 1981, with only snippets being preserved in recordings. A condensed version was made part of the complete Blu-Ray set of the saga in 2011

Fortunately, the whole documentary has been recently found, and is presented here in its entirety for the first time in almost 37 years.

“Solo” deleted scene shows Han flying a TIE Fighter

The upcoming home video release of Solo: A Star Wars Story will be packed with at least one deleted scene. In it, Han is shown piloting a TIE Fighter in a mission that doesn’t end well. He then is punished for insubordination and placed in infantry duty, which is where he encounters Tobias Beckett and company.

No word yet on other deleted scenes making the cut, but this particular scene shows the Corellian with plenty of his signature snark.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits home video on September 25th.

Sci-Fi Saturday: Attack From Space (1965)

Attack_From_Space

The mid Sixties had a plethora of independent and international sci-fi films. Just watch your typical episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 for evidence. One such cheesefest was 1964’s Attack From Space. Ardent Japanese sci-fi fans know that the film is actually a re-editing of two episodes of a sci-fi TV series called Super Giant, but here it is presented in how Americans saw it in B-Movie drive-ins.

Superman captivated the world in the 1940s. Fleischer Studios, most famous for producing Popeye cartoons, made several Superman animated cartoons that were shown in theaters.

This entry, The Mad Scientist, has the style at its finest. Every frame was hand drawn back in the day. This was truly an animated cartoon.
